The Latest Release: Twilight People

For as long as they can remember, Andreas & Tamar have been passionate about folk songs. These songs have been around for hundreds of years, being passed on orally from one generation to the next, and characterised by an unassuming simplicity & directness that often go straight to the heart.
In the “Twilight People” such simple folk melodies are paired with piano arrangements by 20th-century composers Benjamin Britten, Aaron Copland, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Alban Berg.
The album also features two new, previously unpublished songs by young composers: Israeli poet composer Ari Frankel, and Egyptian our-virtuoso Joseph Tawadros, who also joins Tamar & Andreas with his oud on this recording.
