Daniel Lanois to release new album with Modern Recordings!
We are very glad to announce that Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Daniel Lanois will release his new upcoming album “Player, Piano” through Modern Recordings on September 23rd of this year!
Lanois is not only one of the most acclaimed and influential producers of the modern era (albums for everyone from Bob Dylan and Neil Young to U2 and Peter Gabriel) but also a prolific and critically acclaimed songwriter, having composed scores for Oscar-winning films and blockbuster video games in addition to releasing more than a dozen genre-bending solo records. He is truly an artist that is all about Music That Matters.
The new album “Player, Piano” follows the 2021 release of Lanois’ album Heavy Sun, which received wide acclaim from outlets such as SPIN, World Cafe, No Depression and American Songwriter and more. To coincide with the release Lanois will keynote at Germany’s Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg.
